Epic fail.

So this first picture is just awful. I was having the worst time with these two colors and for some reason I was determined to make this work. I started out doing a scotch tape french manicure with the Huemorista color, but I was having the worst nail day. I think I redid all of my nails three times.

So then I gave up and decided to go plain and just do the Huemorista color on my ring finger.

It turned out so much better. And so much simpler. I just need to practice a bit more with the tape.

And I paired it with Essie Mezmerized.

Yodel Me!

OPI's Yodel Me On My Cell is a lovely sparkly bluish color. I think it's from the OPI Swiss Collection, hence the yodeling, or so I would imagine. As it's nearing the end of May, I wanted to be able to wear this one more time before it got to be too full-fledged summer and made this color too dark. Is it too dark? Or do the sparkles make it summer acceptable?

Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not

So I debated not even posting this because it's on my gross feet, but I still wanted to show the color because I lurvv it, partially because it's from the France collection from OPI. Anywho, this is OPI Louvre Me, Louvre Me Not.

Blogger stinks.

Just so you know, I am trying desperately to get my posts to publish, but last night I made the mistake of getting all my posts ready and setting them to publish at future dates and times, but apparently blogger is one week ahead of regular time? Or six days ahead? Or something to that effect. Either way, I'm attempting to rectify the problem.

First Nubar!

So this is my first Nubar! I read on Chloe's Nails about how awesome they are, and I'm sure they are, I just feel like I might have picked the wrong shade. I bought Purple Rain Glitter, and I really like it, but I had to layer it over black to get it to show up. I like the colors and the dynamism of it, but I guess I was just expecting something a little more bright and colorful!

use I was trying to stay with the glittery theme and did silver OPI DS Radiance on my ring finger.

This picture isn't all that great, but it's the best one that you can see the dots in.

Splashing!

Essie Splash of Grenadine is this luxurious pinkish purply magentaish color. I kind of did it because of the "On Wednesdays We Wear Pink" but also because it's one of my new colors that I haven't tried out yet. I had to do three coats because it's kind of opaque, but it's so pretty! I'm kind of in love with it. While I do love the aggressively bright colors, this one is bright without being in your face. I'm kind of in love with it.

Sew Psyched!

Essie's Sew Psyched is so wonderfully weird. When I first got it, I thought it was kind of a grayish color, but when I put it on it's more of an army greenish. It's so pretty and kinda delicate in a weird way. I know that seems like a weird way to describe an army green color, but it really is. I did two coats and then a coat of SV.

Happy Go-Lucky

This may be my current favorite polish ever. I did three coats, but that was only because I kinda messed on the second coat. If I was paying more attention, I definitely could have gotten away with just two. I kind of don't even care if the color doesn't go that well with my skin tone, the yellow is so bright and in your face, I just love it! It's so wonderfully summery!

Lapis of Luxury

This is one of my new polishes that I got with my latest shipment/haul of obsessive-ness! It's Essie Lapis of Luxury. Love the name, by the way, but it's a really nice light blue-ish-light purple. It's definitely more blue than purple, but it has some purple tints to it.

It's quite lovely actually.

Raconte-moi

Having a lazy day prompted me to want to try one of my new OPI polishes that has one of the coolest names ever: "Meet Me on the Star Ferry." I don't know why, but that really evokes some exciting chance meeting by two star-crossed lovers.

I just love it.

This three coats of the polish. It's a little more brown-ish-bronze-ish in person, but it definitely has a pink tint to it. It's really quite pretty.

Meet Me at the Met

Instead of the Ombre thing today, I was once again feeling a tad lazy, and I kind of wanted to try some of my new Finger Paints colors. I have all these new polishes that I just don't have enough fingers to try! So as soon as I started putting this Finger Paints on, Meet Me at the Met, I remembered that it's a lot like an Essie color I already have, which of course I can't remember the name of. Maybe I'll add it later.

Anywho, this is three coats of Meet Me at the Met. I could have done two probably, but it looks more finished with three. It's a really nice shiny silvery-gray.

And then again on my ring finger I did three coats of NYC Starry Silver Glitter that's this really cool silver glittery transparent color and it has larger blue and pink specks in it. I'm not sure how I'm feeling about the glitter. It's not that special, but it was only 99 cents so I don't think I care!

Ombre

Royalty

So I'm a bit late on my royalty, but since I just got my OPI Dating a Royal in the mail, I had to do it!

I didn't do anything special because I was feeling lazy and I was in the mood for perfect nails, and goodness knows I haven't perfected anything fancy yet.

I did Dating a Royal on nine of my fingers...

On my ring finger I did another polish I just got in the mail from Huemorista. It's Hidden Rainbow from the Luck Struck collection. It's gawgeous. There are little specks of glitter and color in it (that you can't really see in the picture). The bottles are really small and it's $12 for a set of 3, which is a little expensive, but they're so pretty I kind of don't even care!

Burntish

Soooo I started with OPI Chop-sticking to My Story, which is kind of an orange-y color. Sorry my nails came out super messy. I hadn't decided that Iwanted to take pictures so I didn't really care how they looked, but then I felt guilty about not posting anything here forevaaa, so here we go loll.

(sorry this picture is super blurry). I actually put the orange over my fake nails because I wasn't emotionally ready to go through the hassle of taking off my fake nails.

Then I put a brown tip of this MAC brown (which has no name) that I found at the Saks Fifth Avenue clearance sale. I'd never done a tip before, so they came out kinda icky, but I'm working on it!
